Leading up to A-Kon
Starting today, I work every day this week leading up to A-Kon.
We start off sick, and end sick. Looking forward to every moment of it.
- Friday - 1:30p - 12:45a (3 hours short of a double)
- Saturday - 10a - 5p
- Sunday - 10a - 12:45a (a double)
- Monday - 10a - 5p (would have been a double, but I needed the night off)
- Tuesday - 10a - 5p
- Wednesday - 10a - 12:45a (another double)
And then we leave on Thursday to head to Dallas. I can already guarantee that I’m going to sleep 75-90% of the car ride there, just because I’m going to be exhausted from this work week. I’m looking at more hours in this one week than I earned on my entire previous paycheck. And then there’s still another week before my boss does payroll.
See my previous post about the Marc Anthony suit. That’s what this check is gonna buy when I get home from A-Kon.
Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to all the work. It’s less time I spend in front of the computer, and more time being social with my coworkers and customers. I guess there’s some sort of value I can place on that, right? Haha

Forty Four
So, tomorrow, 5/24/12, I will have been dating my girlfriend for 44 months. We will both be off from work for the whole day, and I’m looking for something special to do with her.
Dinner is a given, of course. And I would like to stay away from seeing a movie. You know, working at a theater and all takes away from the moment in my opinion. We will have the majority of the day to go about our business, so I really want to make it count.
If it wasn’t a special occasion, I’d talk my cousin and his girl into coming along, and making it the double date we have been discussing. We’ve got that one mostly planned out already. It’s the putting it into motion part that has us stuck. Haha.
Nevetherless, feel free to drop suggestions into my ask. Maybe I’ll publish some of them, and take/post pics of the date!
